Festival of Trees

Join us for a magical holiday tradition!

The first annual Festival of Trees will be held from November 18 through December 8 at Casita & Garden located at Naranjo 321, Emiliano Zapata. We will be recognizing ALL the holidays within our community, so whether you celebrate Kwanzaa, Hannukah, Rohatsu/Bodhi Day, Solstice or Christmas, come on out and celebrate with your neighbors.

Prior to the event local businesses and individuals are invited to create and donate beautiful holiday decorations that symbolize their unique style and creativity. These items will include extravagant trees, stunning wreaths, and holiday ornaments. All items will be on display during the Festival of Trees for the community to admire, and there will be a Holiday Market that will feature hand-crafted cards and ornaments made by our students. All trees will be on display for you to vote on, and ultimately buy or bid for in a silent auction. All proceeds will directly benefit the Vallarta School for Girls, contributing to the educational resources and facilities for our girls.

Event Highlights:

  • Holiday Wine Walk: Enjoy a glass of wine while strolling through the garden and admiring the creative decorations, every Saturday from 5-7pm during the event.

  • Silent Auction: Bid on beautifully decorated trees, wreaths and ornaments.

  • Holiday Shopping: Purchase holiday cards and ornaments made by our talented students.

    Contribute a Tree, Wreath or Ornaments: Please register by November 4th to donate a decorated tree, wreath, or ornaments. There is no cost to participate, but your work will be the centerpiece of our fundraising efforts. To register, please submit the form below.

    Decoration Guidelines for Trees:

    Decorating Time for the Trees: Join us between 1 to 5 PM, November 11-16 to bring your tree to life. Final touches should be completed by 5 PM, November 18.

    Materials: Bring your own artificial tree, lights, and enduring decorations.

    Assigned Locations: A designated spot for your tree will be provided after registration.

    Exhibition: Your tree will be showcased at Casita & Garden from November 18 to December 7

    Decoration Guidelines for Wreaths and Ornaments:

    Wreaths and ornaments can be decorated at home and brought to Casita & Garden by November 18th. The ornaments will be displayed indoors, while the wreaths can be placed either inside or outside in the garden. Please ensure that the wreaths are artificial so they can last throughout the holiday season.

    Be creative! We anticipate the decorated trees to be unique to each person/organization. Decorations can be homemade or purchased. We welcome weather-resistant and imaginative decorations to reflect our community’s spirit.
